1. Had a blast riding around Boulder for the week on a rented Specialized Allez. The hills were no joke, and the unpaved roads from recent flood erosion made for some cool dirt riding. Considering this trip was primarily for work, I’d say I definitely made my spare time worthwhile. Had a blast riding around Boulder for the week on a rented Specialized Allez. 3. This weekend was Skidmore’s 5 year reunion, which meant that we all got to relive our reckless college behavior for a few days. Highlights included pony rides that were really meant for young children, Skidmore themed Jell-O shots courtesy of Sarah Groves, and climbing up to the top of the dining hall in time for the sunrise with @elirousso. 4. Went on a nice rainy day hike with my friend, Amy. Highlights included this spiderweb across the trail (which I later walked right into) and a salamander. 5. Ran myself a full 16.5 miles up around the CT/MA border this morning and found some great quiet dirt roads. Also pumped on breaking a personal distance record. 6. Probably the highlight of our week was a trip to Klein Curaçao, an uninhibited island 15 miles to the Southeast of Curaçao. In addition to beautiful beaches, dolphin sightings, and snorkeling with fish and a sea turtle, we got to check out an abandoned lighthouse and a few shipwrecks. I suppose there wouldn’t have been so many shipwrecks if the lighthouse hadn’t been abandoned? 8. On Tuesday, we spent the day wandering around the main city on the island, Willemstad. At the gateway of the bay is a floating pedestrian bridge that detaches from one side to let boat traffic through. Around the city, we found some beautifully restored Dutch mansions, mixed in with structures that hadn’t been so well maintained.

We also found the oldest synagogue in the Western Hemisphere, complete with sand floors! On Tuesday, we spent the day wandering around the main city on the island, Willemstad.
